The Pilgrim Church Family Homelessness Ministry
MEDWAY HOUSE ADVOCACY EDUCATION
Hands-On Participation
A desire to put one’s faith into action is all that is needed for anyone wanting to focus on the tragic problem of family homelessness.
This Pilgrim Church team ministry was formed to work on the issue of Family Homelessness in Massachusetts. Under the initial guidance of two established organizations,
Cooperative Metropolitan Ministries and the One Family Campaign , the Pilgrim Church Family Homelessness Ministry seeks to actively work with these two organizations in helping with the hands-on, education and advocacy efforts that are so desperately needed.
The ministry is led by Pilgrim Church member, Peg Robinson, along with a dedicated core team who have framed the scope of this ministry and put their findings into action.
A transient life-style is hard enough on single adults but it is devastating for children. If you are concerned about families who move from shelter to shelter, crowd into too-small apartments with relatives, or worse yet, end up sleeping in parking lots in their cars and wish to help with this ministries efforts, please call the church at 508-655-1667 for further information on ways you can participate and/or help. There are opportunities available for hands-on activities, educating people about family homelessness and social advocacy.
